Q2 for PromoEQP

Each quarter of 2024 represents a step that PromoEQP must take to better support you and your needs.

THE 2024 PROMOEQP CATALOG IS AVAILABLE.

First Quarter of 2024 was all about setting the table for what PromoEQP must be doing to better meet the needs of the distributors we serve. This meant being willing to acknowledge our shortcomings, see our weaknesses, and choose to address it all with appropriate actions. Thus far, while the steps have been incremental, they have non-the-less been impactful.

  • Establishment of the DAC Program and DAC Submission Site: www.promoeqp.com/DAC

  • Quarterly Supplier policy updating and collection of benefit details.

  • Control of advertising practices on the PromoEQP Facebook Group page.

  • Mid-month communication and messaging of PromoEQP’s activities and updates.

  • Pushed approach to increase Canadian Supplier Partners, whole program Service Partners, and expansion for Group Programs and Events.

While individually examined, this may seem small… Looked at collectively the work has guided PromoEQP into: 12 New Supplier Partners (6 covering Canada)Increased Social Media participation, discussion, and engagementIncreased program Supplier BenefitsA reading clubParticipation in 5 separate Events, and direction for Q2.

So, what is on the docket for Q2?

  1. Announcement of the Second Annual PromoEQP Rooftop Cubs game in Chicago. PromoEQP will be providing details for our Second Wrigleyville Rooftop Event coming this July. While the 2023 game was phenomenal, there are ways to make it better.

  2. Active development of a new PromoEQP Login Page. MANY of the DAC recommendations boiled down to frustrations and limitations of the current PromoEQP distributor login page. This triggered Us into action. Soon, PromoEQP will be calling on the DAC to identify testers for the new platform and provide guidance on development.

  3. Next step engagement with the DAC… While there will ALWAYS be a need to engage the total PromoEQP network, there is a growing need to establish a dedicated council of distributors. More details will be coming as the small group is better defined.

  4. Mark8media… While not a PromoEQP product, PromoEQP sees the introduction of a new media, entertainment, and information resource to be essential for the industry. For too long this industry has pushed information that benefits a small number of distributors — it’s about time someone focused on providing YOU information that impacts YOU.

Everything is only a “plan” until it is put into action. PLEASE do not hesitate to contact PromoEQP with your ideas and recommendations. The foundation of PromoEQP is designed around meeting distributor needs… So let us know what those needs are and be a part of better defining the program.

Short Story, Big Picture:

Authenticity is not a Character

One of the mistakes I see when companies start producing content for social media is they focus on creating a character.

Your buyers want to buy from people they know, like, and trust. How can they get to know you if you are not your authentic self on social media? Today’s part of the PromoEQP newsletter is a short piece to help you achieve your long-term goals, aka the big picture.

Marketing on social media requires the user to create content that is more than copy, consistently posted, and most of all, Authentic.

Here are some tips to remain “yourself” and avoid becoming a character:

1.      Create in places you frequent 

-          You know how you act and feel when you go to someone’s house for the first time, or when you are in a new building. When you feel comfortable where you are at, that will show in the way you deliver your message.

2.       Talk about things you like

-          “Um”, “well, I think”, & “maybe” are all ways to lose your audience. Talking about your events or situations that relate to your life, you will not have to search for the words to say. Filler words will only show your viewer that you don’t know what you are talking about.

3.       Include your friends, family, and co-workers when you can

-          Chemistry between people that know each other is fun to watch. They play off each other’s words and body language. Your audience will feel like they are part of the group and want to share your story with people they know.

If you are going to take the time out of your day to create content, make sure it’s fun for you! When you have to constantly think about what to say and how to deliver the lines, the whole process will start to feel like real work and you will burn out.

Fake looks fake…being authentically you is natural, fun, and entertaining to watch for your audience.
